Wayne: As Billy Corgan claimed of the fourth Smashing Pumpkins album, 'Adore' - which I coincidentally adore - Masque is my 'shoot-up-my-career' album. It's the sound of a band searching for new ways to go, new roads to explore. That being said Masque boasts a few of my very best songs, imho, with the lyrics for this album being written for the first time without the aid of amphetamine. I understand why the fan base didn't like this album but without it there'd be no Mission today, again imho.
